ABOUT ME
If there was a phrase that could describe the kind of person I am it would be “an open book.” Because this is what I am living.
Recently I just celebrated my 24th birthday. And being a poet I celebrated it in style by winning a poetry slam competition. Currently, I am a regular at several poetry venues. I write poems as well as haiku, though I will admit that some of the material I write are, in my opinion, somewhat bad. But I’ve also had some poems, as well as some haiku, published in various outlets on both sides of the Atlantic.
Much of the material I write revolve around love, though I do write some Christian material. It just might be safe to say that I enjoy writing poetry so that I could perhaps make somebody’s day.
I try to be humble, although I can go out of my way sometimes. I do believe in the Lord, and I am a member of a Baptist church just a walk from where I live. I attend services every Sunday and every Wednesday (unless otherwise). I am very thankful for the fact that I’ve made numerous friends both within the poetry circles, within the church, as well as other walks of life. Their presence has kept me in good spirits throughout the years, as I have dealt with anxiety issues for quite some time.
If you would like to contact me, just send me a comment through one of my blogs, or email me at switchhitterpoet (at) yahoo (dot) com.
Thank you.
