Literature would be boring.

That’s right. Let me repeat it.

LITERATURE WOULD BE BORING.

And as a result people would not be writing literature. The only thing people would read would be the Bible, and other religious texts. There wouldn’t even be literature classes in high school, I can go so far as to be saying here.

In other words, GLBT writers have made the media genre entertaining. From American writers like Whitman, Dickinson, Hughes, Burroughs, Capote, Ginsberg, and Williams; to writers of other nationalities such as Wilde, Rimbaud, Lorca, and Stein; and poets and writers from centuries and milleniums back, such as Sappho and Shakespeare, the world has been filled with great literature of which few heterosexual writers could muster up. And it will always be that way no what what.
